You will also present financial plans with our advice, and suitability reports for regulated recommendations.
  • Managing a portfolio of clients, delivering scheduled reviews, and all advice needed during the year.
  • Meeting prospective clients, to assess the advice they need, and propose how we can best help them.

To thrive as a Chartered Financial Planner, you will need specific experience and skills:

  • Chartered status, with strong technical knowledge and at least 5 years planning experience.
  • Pension transfer qualifications and experience in preparing defined benefit pension advice.
  • Working holistically, able to see a client’s ‘big picture’ and work out how they can best achieve their life goals. You may already be using the Kinder Institute life planning approach or something similar.
  • Comfortable with a wide range of financial planning areas, including: pension lifetime allowance, pension annual allowances, IHT including NRB and RNRB, business taxation reliefs, income tax and CGT allowances, offshore bonds, trusts, family investment companies and life insurances.
  • Strong capability with technology and systems, including cashflow forecasting, ideally Voyant.
  • Great attention to detail, positive approach, and a problem-solving mindset.

What’s on offer

  • Potential to grow a significant number of clients through our steady stream of organic enquiries.
  • A supportive environment for continual learning. All qualification and training costs are met. Mentoring is available as needed.
  • Existing clients you wish to transfer can usually be accommodated.
  • This is a full-time role with hybrid working and flexible hours. Our office is closed Mondays and Fridays. You would be expected to usually work in the office Tuesday – Thursday.
  • All financial planners in the team are employed with a salary. Bonuses are not directly related to financial targets. Salary depends on experience.
