Chartered Financial Planner – full time / fully employed

My client is a multi-award-winning IFA and specialises in holistic, goals-lead, financial planning. Their paraplanners work very closely with the financial planners and their clients in forming, and delivering their plans.

The Role

  • Working collaboratively with the paraplanners, you will give advice to clients to help them best achieve their goals. You will present lifetime cashflow forecasts with multiple scenarios. You will also present financial plans with our advice, and suitability reports for regulated recommendations.
  • Managing a portfolio of clients, delivering scheduled reviews, and all advice needed during the year.
  • Meeting prospective clients, to assess the advice they need, and propose how we can best help them.
  • With strong technical knowledge, you will support other members of the team.
  • Nurture all your client relationships, as well as important professional relationships.

 

To thrive as a Chartered Financial Planner, you will need specific experience and skills:

  • Chartered status, with strong technical knowledge and at least 5 years planning experience.
  • Pension transfer qualifications and experience in preparing defined benefit pension advice.
  • Working holistically, able to see a client’s ‘big picture’ and work out how they can best achieve their life goals. You may already be using the Kinder Institute life planning approach or something similar.
  • Comfortable with a wide range of financial planning areas, including: pension lifetime allowance, pension annual allowances, IHT including NRB and RNRB, business taxation reliefs, income tax and CGT allowances, offshore bonds, trusts, family investment companies and life insurances.
  • Strong capability with technology and systems, including cashflow forecasting, ideally Voyant.
  • Great attention to detail, positive approach, and a problem-solving mindset.

  • This is a full-time role with hybrid working and flexible hours. Our office is closed Mondays and Fridays. You would be expected to usually work in the office Tuesday – Thursday.
  • All financial planners in the team are employed with a salary. Bonuses are not directly related to financial targets. Salary depends on experience.
