Salary £45,000 pa inc car allowance plus uncapped earnings potential

 

A well-established IFA firm, situated on the outskirts of Leicester, with state-of-the-art offices, is looking for an experienced individual to join their established team as a Financial Adviser.

Reporting directly to the Financial Planning Manager, you will provide high-quality Financial Planning solutions to the firm’s clients, based on individual needs, applying technical knowledge across all areas including pensions and investments. You will be fully supported in all aspects of general and technical administration, provided by a highly experienced team of Administrators and Paraplanners.

Duties and responsibilities include:

 

  • Experience of advising and servicing, both retail and business clients including responsibility for the preparation of supporting documentation.
  • Manage potentially complex cases, from inception to completion and find solutions to technical enquiries.
  • Regular engagement with new and existing clients via face-to-face, Zoom, telephone, email, and letter.
  • Management of your own workflows and tasks. Working on own initiative to achieve agreed outcomes set by the Financial Planning Manager and consistently meeting pre-agreed service levels.
  • You will need to be proficient in understanding and identifying client needs/objectives, derived from detailed information recorded in Know Your Client (KYC) documents; this will be compiled by yourself during client meetings and other information gathering exercises.
  • Consistent accuracy and attention to detail, able to adhere to quality compliance standards and deliver the highest level of client service.
  • Take a client focussed approach to all work, recognising the importance of client relationships and the need for excellence.

 

Skills and experience

 

  • Qualified, level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, with a strong level of technical knowledge and a keen appetite to progress towards Level 6 Chartered Financial Planner Status.
  • Minimum of 3 years previous advising experience is essential, gained within an IFA firm is desirable.
  • Full driving licence and use of a vehicle.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with various systems, including our in-house back-office platform (Iress Xplan).
  • Proven record of developing new business through a variety of initiatives.
  • Ability to effectively manage a portfolio of clients, able to prioritise and organise own workload.

 

Salary: 

  • A strong remuneration package, allowing for annual incremental salary increases along with a generous performance linked discretionary bonus scheme. Business leads are provided, generated through a combination of our existing relationships with professional connections and from established lead generation sources.
  • Starting salary £45,000 per annum including a £5000 per annum car allowance plus performance related bonuses with uncapped earnings potential
  • The successful candidate will be expected to complete a 6-month probationary period.
