My client is an independent firm of actuaries and consultants, founded over 40 years ago. Based in London they have clients throughout the UK & overseas.
They now have a fabulous opportunity for an experienced SSAS Administrator to join their team, either working from their offices or remotely, the choice is yours. Sadly, we cannot consider applications from individuals who have not previously worked in the pensions industry and administered Small Self Administered Schemes, but if you have that experience, then please read on!
The role involves direct contact with clients who are generally high net worth individuals and as such excellent communication skills are required. The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team to achieve company goals. The ability to work under pressure is paramount, and excellent organisational skills are vital.
Your role will involve carrying out the day-to-day administration of a portfolio of SSASs, dealing with all aspects of their administration including establishment/takeover, contributions, transfers in and out, investment transactions, benefit calculations and payment, property purchases and sales.
Previous pensions experience administering a portfolio of SSAS is essential for this role. Knowledge of the complexities of property purchase, benefit calculations and HM Revenue & Customs reporting requirements are also pre-requisite.
