Trainee Paraplanner

Salary £22,000 – £28,000 dep on exp + benefits
Hybrid working available, 3 days per week working from home, 2 days per week working in the office
My client is an Independent Financial Advisory company, advising and servicing clients all over the UK and they now have an exciting new opportunity for an individual with experience in the Wealth Management Industry to join their busy Paraplanning Team as a Trainee Paraplanner.
The scope and duties of the role will be dependent on your experience but as a minimum you will be:
- Preparing post annual review follow up letters to clients
- Working on Bed & ISA research and suitability reports
- Working on Bed & Pension research and suitability reports
- Producing research and preparing suitability reports for top ups to existing business
- Carry out technical research as part of the review process, including liaising with providers and collating information on investments, pensions and other products.
- Maintaining client database and core systems
Career Progression
- Following a successful 3-month probationary period the successful candidate will be offered the opportunity to commit to either an in-house development programme or an apprenticeship programme with their preferred external Provider, Skills Edge. Successful completion of either programme will attain the status of Cert PFS (Paraplanning) with the CII

Knowledge & Experience required
- Good standard of education including English and Maths, grade C (equiv) or above at GCSE
- CII qualifications desirable
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook & back office systems, specifically Intelliflo along with provider solutions, eg Platforms
- 2 years experience within Financial Services with knowledge and experience of investments, pensions, protection & mortgages
